You are sleeping when God touches your shoulder and not only do you wake up, but you also WAKE UP.
There are millions of new colors, scents and textures.
“Love” doesn’t come close to describing how exquisitely enveloped you are in acceptance, warmth, compassion, kindness and unity.
Music doesn’t just fill your ears, it permeates every atom in your body… and your body knows the indescribable pleasure of being touched by God.
For the first time in your life, you understand what it means to exist in a state of awe.
You linger in this blissful state for what seems like months. Nothing else exists for you except right here, right now. What else could possibly compete with being touched by God?
Sorry, but could I please pull you back to reality?
I just described the number one reason to seek awe.
No, it’s not that you will be touched by God, although that would be a spectacular outcome.
It’s that when we truly experience the state of awe, we stop thinking… and when we stop thinking, we get a glimpse of who we really are.
This is the closest we come to knowing our identity beyond all the stuff we have inherited:
language
beliefs
customs
laws
social mores
habits
relatives
community
genetics
civilization
water treatment plants
supply chains
transportation systems
Most of us spend our entire lives and never see past what others programmed us to think, feel and do.
This is not offered as a criticism, merely an observation.
Awe is our portal to a greater, deeper truth.
And that’s why I’m still writing this newsletter. I hope it becomes the reason you are still reading it.
And the Number One Reason to Seek Awe Is...
Whenever you write as if you’re in yourself dimension. Wondering thoughts. You always go deep beyond your imagination. A very busy mind. Don’t go beyond your limits. Take some time off. 😊
...it has always been the reason I have read it and I hope it continues to be. Thank you for taking the time to continue writing it.
