I Am... Resonating
(As much as humanly possible)
I choose to believe that there are two versions of each of us.
The first is the individual, the one we think of as living a finite lifetime in a human body.
The other, more expansive (and infinite) version is the “I” comprised of everyone and everything, including you and me.
The first version co-exists with the second. When we die, we don’t disappear; we simply remain part of the greater whole.
I (Bruce) can’t prove it, but I (Bruce) believe it.
Here’s why you might choose to believe it, too.
What could be more wonderful than having these two versions of you not only resonating vibrantly within themselves, but also with each other?
Imagine yourself being 100% comfortable in your own skin and being 100% confident that you will forever be united by unconditional love with all that is or ever was.
No more “I’m afraid to die.”
No more “is there all there is?”
Far fewer superficial relationships.
Far more deep connections.
Much, much more love in your life.
The slightest possibility that we are an intimate part of a greater whole makes it a no-brainer to adopt this belief and have this knowledge uplift us. The same goes for the possibility that we can enhance our ability to find and access the resonance space between ourselves and others.
One important caveat: I’m not telling you what to believe or challenging any of your existing beliefs; I’m simply sharing what I choose to believe.
Two days ago, my previous newsletter edition Cultivating Resonance in Your Life explained how I’m using the idea of resonance to support this belief.
That issue has generated more private notes than anything else I’ve shared on Substack. I’d love to keep hearing from you, via either a personal note or a comment here. I answer every note.
It’s fascinating to learn how different people perceive the idea of resonance and the role it plays - or could play - in their lives.

Bruce thank you sincerely for sharing this with us. It seems to me this idea of resonance is foundational to...well everything at some level and I find the way you write about inspiring.
