Jenna, I’m a huge believer in changing your environment to change your life. There are big differences from place to place, and they ripple through your life. I hope you soon find a place that recharges your energy.

Patty, the individual who led my class also offers online classes: https://breathewithjp.com/product-category/live-online-breathwork-classes/ I don't have enough experience to answer your second question, but I suspect the answer is: better breathing works wonders, even without any other actions.

WOW what a powerful experience. Thank you for sharing, and congrats on starting to let go of those burdens. Anchors Aweigh!

Thank you Bruce for being candid and transparent in sharing your your recent experience. It sounds magical. This hit me hard and I can sooo relate because I, too, have been weighted down - both physically and mentally - with so many burdensome, heavy anchors that represent a lifetime of trauma I've experienced (I'll be 53 next week). Since the start of this year, I have become more keenly aware than ever before of truly how much energy I'm expending every day, treading water just to keep my head above the surface to prevent me from drowning. It's overwhelming and I'm depleting my physical and mental reserves faster than I can refuel them.

Something has to change. Actually, a LOT of somethings have to change and the first and foremost is my geographical scenery. I need a fresh start somewhere, even if just temporary, and to get away from the (literal) obnoxious noise, congestion, and pollution of urban and city life that surrounds me and overwhelms my senses. Your message today and the other events that have transpired in my life just in the last two weeks are the catalysts for my decision to drop my anchors so I can begin moving toward what I want in and from my life. Thank you! P.S. As a Navy veteran, I appreciate the anchor reference. Irony isn't lost on that one ;-)

Thanks for being so open about your experience. I have been thinking about breathing therapy from a physical fitness point of view. It's good to know how deeply good breathing can promote mental fitness.

I agree, sounds like an amazing experience! Where/how might we find this therapy? Is breath work typically paired with something else, like restorative yoga?
