Thank you for sharing this. My dog seemed to appreciate it too, Is that really possible? We can learn so much when we are present. Thank you for encouraging me to be present more often.
"Abandon your preconceived notions about Julie. Instead, see her in objective detail. See her as a complete human being, and watch for details you have missed in the past."
Thank you, Bruce. The mirror exercise a good one. A couple of decades ago I would practice looking in the mirror and saying, “ I like myself.” and see how long I could go without smiling. Often, an endorphin pumping belly laugh would consume me.
Perhaps glib to say, but the leaving of past, decades-ago-built paradigms behind to see and hear things afresh reminds one of the dilemma of “The Dog and the Bone”. (And, may the spirit of Dex forgive the license I take.) Holding one bone in its mouth yet seeing another, the Dog must drop the first to pick up the new.
I do enjoy following your pithy gems. Thanks again, Rob
wow Dex was one smart, and cool dog. Love the lessons you shared here. I'm headed on vacation and I am planning to let go of everything that isn't about being fully present in the moment, the journey, family, castles, food... I'm going on vacation for those and for me. No expectations, just being. Thanks for the timely reminder to do it!
I just sat back & let You and Dex show me another way.
Thank You :)

Always appreciate your content and sharing Bruce. This was one of your better shares. Thank you.
Personally you had me at ..”When I met Dex…”😊

Beautiful advice for everyone in the room today.

Another good one 👍🏾 If only we can learn from our body on how every breath takes the necessary oxygen in and leave the rest behind ;)
